From Chuck Yarborough of the Cleveland Plain Dealer Newspaper November 2, 2001
"Can't get enough Neil Diamond? You can hear songs sung till you're blue in the face by a West Virginian known for his dead-on impersonation of the man himself. African American Theron Denson said he began to realize his gift when "the 200th Caucasian lady leaned over the back of the church pew and said, 'Young man,you sound just like Neil Diamond.' Unbeknownst to me,it was at that moment 'The Black Diamond Show' was born." I've heard tribute bands before who sound "just like the real thing" and I'm always a little leary. But I listened to Denson on his Web site,, and "I'm a Believer." He'll be at Kent's Glory Days-I hope when I get old, I won't sit around and talk about seeing a Neil Diamond tribute act at Glory Days, but I probably will-at 10p.m. Saturday."

Black Diamond,Thank you for a wonderfully delightful evening at Hilton Head. I've spoken with several attendees of your Neil Diamond tribute show and they've all had nothing but compliments, praise and accolades regarding your performance. You really do sound so much like him! Thank you for the great way you interacted and included the audience in your show. What a great way to start my year as NAHB President. Please accept our heartfelt thanks. What a show!
